Cerentec web accounts come with the choice of email forwarding or POP3 emails.

If you want email forwarding then all emails sent to you@new-domain.com will arrive at you@old-domain.com. You will be able to receive mail without configuring anything on your computer. To set up email forwarding click
Email, Forwarding on your control panel.

If you choose to have POP3 emails then mail will arrive into your email program (Outlook, Eudora etc.).  To set up a POP3 account click Email, Mailboxes on your control panel. You will be given a user name and password. This new password is the one you use to configure your mail account in your email program.

To set up POP3 email accounts on Outlook Express follow the instructions below.  The process is similar in Outlook.

Open Outlook Express and click Tools, Accounts and then click the Add tab in the top right of the window. Next click Mail

Put in your name in the resulting window.  This can be anything you want.  The click Next.

Put in your new email address in the next window and click Next.

Your incoming mail server (POP3) will be mail.cerentec.com. The outgoing mail server (SMTP) will depend on what ISP you use.  To check your SMTP host go to this page - if you do not find your ISP in the list then contact your ISP.  The SMTP list may not be accurate across all regions of the globe.

Click Next and then enter the new user name and password for your email account.  Use your new username and password which you can obtain by setting up a POP3 box in the email section of your control panel as described above.  Please note that the email username is different from the control panel username. Tick the box that asks to remember password and leave the log on etc. box unticked.

Click Next and then Finish Your emails will be checked along with any other accounts you may have.
